We are an alternative rock band based in Landen, Belgium. we play a mix of covers and originals!

Argon was founded in 2016 by Pieter and Billy. They both had some musical projects but none of them really kicked off. Soon Robin joined the two to play the bass. The trio started with playing some covers and the foundations of the first original songs were laid. But they were missing a beat to follow so the search for a drummer began. This was not an easy quest. But we found Viktor who knew how to play the Cello. We convinced him to learn to play the bass and Robin showed off his drumming skills. Viktor even brought a new song which allowed Billy to finally use his harmonica. One of our already iconic songs was born: “the friendship song” and with that also the first official line-up.

The next years we worked on making original songs and giving covers our own personal touch. By the end of 2017, we were itching for our first gig. We looked at the possibilities and in April 2018 the time finally had come. We would play our first gig at “Lokale Helden 2018” at our hometown Landen. We were however not completely ready. We didn’t have a name for our band. Many options passed during our rehearsals, but none satisfied us. And on the evening before we would be announced on the line-up we Billy came up with Argon and we all felt this was the right name. This meant we were finally ready for our first concert and well it felt amazing for us mainly thanks to the audience. The rest is history.
